has joined with Helena No.3 to allow expansion of this Special Project for 2006

Promoting Education by Promoting Reading

This spring Helena Masonic Lodge No. 3 and Morning Star Masonic Lodge No. 5   continue our long Masonic tradition of supporting public education by sponsoring a reading project in each of the Helena area public elementary schools. This year we have expanded from 11 to 14 schools, and have included East Helena, Clancy and Montana City's elementary schools.

Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 of the area's elementary schools will have their names placed into a drawing for a new bicycle.  One chance in the drawing for each book they read.  The more books they read the more chances they will have to win a new bicycle.

Helena Masonic Lodge No. 3 & Morning Star Lodge No. 5 will purchase 42 new bicycles.  One student from each of the three grades (3rd, 4th and 5th) in EACH school will win a new bicycle.

  Goettle Insulation Company has presented the lodges with very generous donation to
       purchase a riding helmets for bike winners!

Bikes will be awarded on the following dates (updates posted as the schedules are confirmed)  We encourage everyone who can to attend these assemblies and see how much winning the new bikes mean to these students!
