Helena Lodge No. 3 is the oldest Masonic lodge in Helena, having been originally chartered as Helena City Lodge No 10, by the Grand Lodge of Colorado in 1865. In January, 1866 the lodge joined with the other two lodges then existing in the Montana Territory gold camps ( Virginia City and Ennis) to form the Grand Lodge of Montana, A F & A M.
